About Aumakua Hawaii

Our Mission: To preserve and perpetuate Hawaiian cultural traditions, honoring the aumakua — ancestral guardian spirits — through education, community, and cultural practice.

Aumakua Hawaii is a nonprofit organization located in Honolulu dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Native Hawaiian culture. We honor the tradition of the aumakua — the ancestral guardian spirits — through cultural education, community events, and traditional practices.

Our programs bring together Native Hawaiian families and community members to share, learn, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Hawaii. We believe that by honoring our past, we strengthen our communities for the future.
